To find Site:- From either north or south on A423, Banbury to Southam Road, take road to Great Bourton and site is just by the sign for the village.

Barnstones is a fairly compact open all year campsite a couple of miles north of Banbury. Nearly all pitches in the main area are on gravel hardstandings although these are not quite wide enough to take both a caravan and awning. They are set out in two squares behind reception with lots of mature trees surrounding the site. Each pitch has a section of hardstanding in front of the pitch where vehicles are parked. Whilst the pitches seem to be of a good size this style of parking can give a crowded feel. Some pitches are fully serviced with water, waste, electrics and a TV hook-up (not digital). There is a good quality toilet block which is heated and is well looked after. In addition to the main pitching areas is a large rally field which also doubles up as extra pitching should there not be a rally on a particular weekend. It is mainly grass but has a very wide road which allows caravans/motorhomes to park on the road if weather conditions would make it difficult to use the grass. The rally site has electric points a fresh water supply. The rally field is nearer the A423 so there will be road some noise but mainly at rush hour times. For the kids there is a nice adventure style play area hedged off from the main camping areas. There is also a dedicated dog walk area. We thought this campsite was good value but felt there were too many permanently sited caravans some of which looked past their best which is a shame as the site offers some really good facilities. The village of Great Bourton is immediately outside the site and its only a short walk to the pub. The Oxford Canal is only a short distance away. Banbury is a nice town with a good shopping centre. There is a Tesco supermarket on the way into Banbury. On the B4100, which runs on the other side of the M40 to the A423, is a caravan dealer with a good accessory shop and the National Herb Centre.
