To Find Site:- Leave A7 at junction 125 and follow signs to  Altenstadt and turn left towards Kirchberg. The site is well signed all the way. The final approach is along a narrow road although it has good sight lines so you can see what is coming.

Camping Christophorus is in the main a site used by German seasonal/long stay campers but it does have some pitches reserved for shorter stays and this makes it a convenient stopover point near the A7 autobahn. Pitches are in the region of 80sq mts in size and some are reinforced with plastic mesh to make them more suitable for motorhomes in wet weather. Electric connections are rated at 16amps and use CEE17 blue connectors. Water taps are available near all pitches. Grey water waste can only be disposed of at the toilet block. There is a small motorhome service point in the restaurant car park although this could be difficult for larger units if the car park is busy as the restaurant is open to the public. The facilities are excellent, particularly the toilet block which apparently has undergone a major refurbishment in recent years. It has seated toilets with paper provided in the cubicles. Shower cubicles were of a good size. In the Reception complex there is a small indoor pool and sauna. There is a large onsite restaurant which looks really good although it is closed on Mondays. Behind reception there is a small shop/bar where bread can be ordered. Two lakes are situated along one side of the site which are used for fishing and swimming. For children there is a play area and crazy golf. The site has free WiFi which we were able to get at our pitch. During the low season the site accepts the ACSI discount card.

From the site there are lots of opportunities for cycle rides and walks along the River Iller. Kirchberg has a church high on a promontory overlooking the surround countryside. For offsite shopping Altenstadt has a couple of supermarkets and is about 2/3 miles from the site.
