To Find Site:- From the south leave the A6 at junction 25 and head for Chagny on the N6. Do not go into the town of Chagny but continue to the D974 where you turn left, following signs for Santenay. After about 3kms turn right at signs for Santenay and follow signs to campsites. The roads through Santenay are quite tight so care is required. From Beaune pick up the D974 and then instructions as above.

Camping des Sources is a pleasant campsite tucked away amongst the vineyards of Santenay and on the edge of the town. Its not too far off the main north/south autoroute and its certainly worth the detour.  Most of the pitches, all of good size, have shade from mature trees. The exception being a recently developed section which is more open but does have lovely views on the vines. There is one centrally situated toilet block of a good standard and well maintained. It has unseated loos and paper is not provided to individual cubicles but on a big roll inside the block. There is a small shop, although only open limited hours. Bread can be ordered and they stock some basics including wine and ice cream. In the evening there is a takeaway service available. The site normally has a restaurant but there was a notice informing clients that during the 2007 season it would not be open. Reception opens in the morning, closes about midday and reopens mid afternoon. Arrivals during the time reception is closed are instructed to find a pitch and return later to book in. An excellent idea rather than having to wait around outside until reception reopens. Water taps are dotted around the site and 6 amp electrics are available to most pitches. Keycamp are represented on this campsite although they do not dominate the site. WiFi, as well as fixed internet computers, is available near the shop area, good value access cards can  be purchased from reception. Date of visit late June 2007. The ACSI Card is now accepted at this campsite.

Adjacent to this campsite there is a Municipal Swimming Pool and I think the site have an arrangement for entry to the pool. The village of Santenay is about a 15 minute walk from the site. It has several restaurants, lots of caves and even a small supermarket. For a more comprehensive selection of shops Chagny is only 10 minutes away in the car. If you are a wine lover this corner of France would keep you happy for weeks and without the need to travel long distances.
