To Find Site:- The easiest approach to this site is from the Reims direction on the D951. At roundabout follow road signed for Cumieres and site a few hundred metres along this road on the right by stadium. Approaching from the A26 at Chalons on the D3 requires a bit more care. Follow signs for Reims and the Paul Chandon Stadium, these signs also have a camping graphic. Then as above.

The Municipal at Epernay is typical of many in France. It is part of a larger sports complex which can be busy especially at weekends, so don't expect a quiet site if there is an event. It is much more peaceful during the evening and through the night. The pitches are of a good size and divided by hedges. There are also lots of mature trees around the campsite. Electric (5amp) is available to most pitches and water points are dotted around the site. The toilet block looks as if it has been recently refurbished to an excellent standard with all English style seated toilets but no paper supplied. Each morning a bread van calls. Although the site does not have a restaurant there is a mobile takeaway on site with picnic chairs. In one corner of the site is a BBQ area. Children are well catered for with a good playground as well as places to play ball games. Date of visit late June 2007.

The centre of Epernay is within walking distance and reception will give you a map of the town. It is famous for being the Champagne Capital of France and tours are available at some of the Houses. Not far from the site is a Carrefour supermarket.
